Angel Macias is the CEO and founder of California Families in Focus, which is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to develop and provide positive and innovative events and
social service programs for youth and their families to achieve empowerment and purpose.
Angel works as a consultant developing youth mentoring programs for at risk youth and on her spare time she is an ordained minister who enjoys presiding over wedding ceremonies for loving couples who are ready to make that commitment. Angel has held many great jobs within the city of Long Beach which include the 37th Congressional District, the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, 6th District City Council, St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services. Angel has traveled nationwide delivering motivational, empowerment speeches and through her travels she has worked with diverse groups developing programs ranging from mentoring out of school youth, to preparing adult men and women recovering from drug and alcohol abuse to build empowerment skills, and visiting prisons in California to talk about race relations and on occasion was called upon to diffuse race riots. For the past 25 years Angel has made it her mission to assist youth and their families in becoming strong, confident, informed, optimistic and productive members of society by providing them with the educational tools needed to access social and community friendly services. Angel believes that through community collaboration, youth and their families will be able to achieve their full potential and live a healthy and meaningful life where they feel a sense of responsibility, pride, belonging and purpose.
