    Maria Angel MaciasCEO & Founder

Angel Macias is the CEO and founder of California Families in Focus, which is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to develop and provide positive and innovative events and

social service programs for youth and their families to achieve empowerment and purpose.

Angel works as a consultant developing youth mentoring programs for at risk youth and on her spare time she is an ordained minister who enjoys presiding over wedding ceremonies for loving couples who are ready to make that commitment. Angel has held many great jobs within the city of Long Beach which include the 37th Congressional District, the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach, 6th District City Council, St. Mary’s Medical Center and the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services. Angel has traveled nationwide delivering motivational, empowerment speeches and through her travels she has worked with diverse groups developing programs ranging from mentoring out of school youth, to preparing adult men and women recovering from drug and alcohol abuse to build empowerment skills, and visiting prisons in California to talk about race relations and on occasion was called upon to diffuse race riots. For the past 25 years Angel has made it her mission to assist youth and their families in becoming strong, confident, informed, optimistic and productive members of society by providing them with the educational tools needed to access social and community friendly services. Angel believes that through community collaboration, youth and their families will be able to achieve their full potential and live a healthy and meaningful life where they feel a sense of responsibility, pride, belonging and purpose.

    Robert Charles Spieth IIICo-Founder

As President of RCS Advisors Inc. Robert provides clients M&A and financial advisory services and professional business-valuations. RCS Advisors also provides financial expertise, including serving as an expert witness, to clients and attorneys for legal

cases including calculations of damages, valuations of intellectual property and intangible assets, locating assets and calculating income in divorce matters, financial investigations in fraud cases, and more.Robert holds professional certifications in Valuation (CVA), Accounting (CPA), and Financial Forensics (‘MAFF’ or Master Analyst of Financial Forensics).

Robert has made more than 20 years of experience in Finance including at top Wall Street investment banks where he worked on M&A and strategic transactions, and stock and debt offerings for large publicly-traded companies. Robert also has experience working with private companies and has advised companies ranging from sole proprietors and partnerships to multi-national corporations in such industries as Auto, Contractor, Energy, Environmental, Farming & Livestock, Franchise, Gaming and Casino, Healthcare, Hospitality & Hotel, Manufacturing, Media, Medical and Physician Practice, Mining & Natural Resources, Not-for-Profit, Oil & Gas, Printing, Real Estate, and the Restaurant industries, among others. Robert values the opportunity to serve the community and is actively involved with several not-for-profit organizations. Robert has helped start two 501(c)(3) organizations where since their inception he has continued to serve as a board member for many years. Robert has assisted with efforts to provide services or raise funding for children with disabilities, families with autistic children, special Olympians, cancer research youth groups, church groups, and the homeless. Robert has also helped arrange mentorships and after-school programs for disadvantaged youth, services and special events for domestic abuse survivors, college scholarships, free football camps in conjunction with the NFL for youngsters, and various services and events to help young people with families.

    Leslie Renee SmithChair

Leslie Renee Smith is a trial attorney, licensed to practice in the state of California. For the past 26 years, she has represented the interests of companies and individuals in California State and Federal courts, Bankruptcy

courts, administrative proceedings and mediations, and arbitrations.

She is the principal attorney of Leslie R. Smith Inc. a Professional Law Corporation.

Throughout her career, Leslie has also volunteered thousands of hours performing pro bono legal services for low-income, disadvantaged and vulnerable families and seniors. She was an Advisory Board Member of the Los Angeles Habitation House, a 501 (c) non-profit organization that provides training and employment opportunities for veterans and persons with disabilities; she was a volunteer mentor for at-risk High School Children; she volunteered with Big Brother Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles; she is a former Volunteer Attorney for the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Domestic Violence Project and AIDS Legal Services Project; and she was a volunteer Attorney at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center. Leslie’s hobbies include target shooting, playing basketball, fishing, listening to music, and working on her genealogy chart.

    Roman Alexander RoseboroughSecretary

Roman Alexander Roseborough is currently a Deputy Sheriff for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD). He has been with the Department for the past 16 years and has worked in numerous capacities.

He has worked

in the Custody. Patrol and Court Services Divisions. While working in Patrol, he was a volunteer with the Vital Intervention and Directional Alternatives (V.I.D.A.) an LASD program which helps teach at-risk youth the value of effective decision-making and taking responsibility for their future.

He has also served his country as a United States Marine from 1994-1998. His true passion is in helping others become their most authentic self, challenging themselves, and facing their fears. In his spare time, he enjoys reading a great book, listening to a variety of music, personal development, drinking coffee, and spending quality time with friends and family.

    Aaliyah Ann DanielsTreasurer

Aaliyah Ann Daniels started her journey 9 years ago with CFF under the guidance of Angel Macias and Kim Maddox. She is the currently elected treasurer and is excited to be a part of the board.

Aaliyah is also a part of the Imperial Court of Long Beach as the 44th Elected Empress of the Imperial Court of Long Beach and has been raising money for youth and LGBTQ communities. She is the first transgender woman to be elected on the board of CFF and wants to be a mentor for the youth.
